2015 WJPA Service Award Winners

From Mrs. Gromacki:

Congratulations to Sydney and Shelby Tone, Stoughton, WI., winners of the 2015 David Lefeber Citizenship Award for Service.

Sydney captured the top honors with 78 hours of dedicated service. Shelby, a close second, performed 76 hours. The sisters created the present WJPA website and took an active leadership role in the development of educational poultry seminars for their county 4-H, as well as the Wisconsin Junior Poultry Association.

Sydney and Shelby have promoted Avian Influenza awareness and serve as biosecurity spokespersons for poultry youth. They were instrumental in the creation of the WJPA Youth Day in Portage as part of their response to the Avian Influenza quarantine.

Note: A Hi-Point Youth Exhibitor is not being named this year due to the quarantine. Save you 2015 points and add them to this coming year’s total.
