The Wisconsin Junior Poultry Association (WJPA) was organized in 1996 as a part of the National APA-ABA Youth Program (now known as the Youth Exhibition Poultry Association). The group has over 100 active members and meets at poultry shows throughout Wisconsin.
WJPA members enjoy opportunities in leadership, service, achievement, creativity, and sociability. Popular activities include Poultry Showmanship, Avian Quiz Bowl, High Point Exhibitor and Community Service Awards; Photography, Poster, and Writing Contests; field trips, picnics, and working on national achievement levels.
About the Website
This website was created by, and is now managed by, Sydney and Shelby Tone, who were past officers in the WJPA (President and Vice-President, respectively). They made the website as part of their Poultry Master A.C.E. project work (read more about the A.C.E. Program), to make communication more efficient for the WJPA.
